Ok, I just finished this set:

Better than Twilight even! Soooo hooked, I got a new phone (HTC Fuze) for Christmas. BF asks me if that's good enough for Christmas (we were switching providers because our contract was up and he wanted iPhone, I just happened to get spoiled because I picked a good phone too). I said sure. He decided he better get me something else. I said he can get me the 8th book in this series (From Dead to Worse ), so he is. I'm sooo hooked, I'll even be pre-ordering book 9 (Dead and Gone ). It's the basis for HBO's True Blood, which I am also addicted to now (it's why I ordered the books).

Until Twilight, I thought yeah, like the concept of vampires but the stories are slow reads so I couldn't get into vamp books. So as cheesy as Twilight is, I loved it. Welp, move over Twilight, I found my trashier, better adult addiction! Though, if that Edward version of Twilight ever comes out I'm sure I'll read it, I like Edward. But Sookie, like her much better than Bella. Ohh, and I still need to see the movie Twilight, when it comes out on DVD, didn't bother with the theater for it.

Golden Globe nominations are out, here. I saw more movies this year than I usually see, and yet... yeah as usual, I've seen almost nothing nominated. How in the hell is Tom Cruise nominated against Heath Ledger though? Seriously? Tom Cruise was funny enough but on the level of performance that Ledger gave? Were they short on nominees? And True Blood, which I am currently addicted to is nominated. And Wall-e, the bf's fave movie this year.

More eager to see how the Academy Awards go, of course.

Ahh Boston Legal's finale was brilliant (of course).

ER is in its final season.

Apparently NBC has given up on primetime tv. ER is ending, ok. They have The Office and Earl, which I love... and Heroes which I love or like depending on my mood. They have L&O which I love, but it's clearly going bye bye as Leno will be getting a 5 day a week 10 pm show. WTF? Seriously. 5 day a week, primetime talk show, on network tv? Why? I watch network tv in primetime for entertainment, not talk shows. When I want talk shows I go to late night or news channels. NBC is killing its primetime as it will now be 2 hours not 3. Then again networks seem to think reality tv and crappy shows are all that exist or should be kept, with a few exceptions.

I actually like a few reality shows, but not on network tv (more like Ghosthunters, and some of the Bravo ones). Network, primetime tv is supposed to be good fictional escapes. Are there just no good creative people left? Execs don't want to pay them? Can't pay them? Don't like their unions? ;) Seriously, wtf? We have hundreds of channels and a handful of good shows despite all of those channels and now the peak time for those shows to air = NBC is removing those hours from their lineup. Odd.
