I must admit while watching this I actually did laugh... not so much at his goof but at his own reaction to it.

So that new Kindle is out (well pre-orders but a few days from now it's out anyway). If you want to get my mom worked up, talk about the Kindle. Personally I wouldn't mind one, I think I'd read even more if I had one. I just can't justify the cost. And given that my laptop died and I'm always on a used computer and am now out of my BF's used computers as backups, I need to get a new one before I consider something like a Kindle.

Oh and I just checked, for example I've become addicted to Charlaine Harris aka the author of the Sookie Stackhouse books aka the series that True Blood is based off of. Her newest (pre-order book) doesn't show a Kindle version. Do they come out later than print versions then ? I'm already so anxious for this book I pre-ordered it soon as I got hooked on this series. Having a Kindle, seeing that tell the publisher I want to read it on Kindle button would just piss me off.

Then there's the sheer number of Superman and Batman comics books I buy... Kindle is just useless for that so far. *sigh* Someday I suppose something like a Kindle will make sense for me. For now, I just can't justify it. A lot harder for my cats to shred that and for my BF to throw his books on top of mine -- BUT we're about to move into a bigger place where I'll turn the dining room into my own office and I'm getting good old fashioned BOOKSHELVES! OMG, heaven! I can keep my actual paper books safe from the hall closet "book shelf" where I would line they neatly, and the BF would throw his in rudely and trash mine! The slob ;)

So by now everyone on the planet has heard of the Christian Bale outburst. I can't believe how judgmental everyone was.

First off, I saw people on news shows saying they weren't sure they could see movies he was in because of foul his mouth was to a co-worker, blah blah, he's a diva, blah blah. Ok fine, guess what if you're not gonna see a movie because someone who worked on it isn't perfect then you better not see another movie ever again. And frankly I'm more upset someone leaked it. Presumably someone from the insurance company as it seems the movie studio sent it to the insurance company to protect themselves. Well hey, I'm more worried about the fact that insurance company employees don't value the trust we place in them the keep confidential files, ohh confidential. I'd like to know someone was fired or that the leak is being investigated. I doubt say a producer leaked it, possible but unlikely given it could damage the movie's star / movie.

Second off, out of context I wasn't ready to judge it, still am not. I wasn't there. I have now finally take the time to heard his public apology and I found it to be sincere. In fact he touched on something I've heard from someone who works in Hollywood. That the best actors get truly worked up and lost in their characters, they prepare before a scene, build up their emotions, etc. They're not really just acting they're really throwing everything into what they're doing in ways those of us who haven't watched it can't appreciate. I've heard it described as almost scary to watch. I don't know what happened that day but I know that they can work hours as long as 18+ hours a day (probably not the actors) and sometimes 7 days a week on a movie when it goes into crunch mode. If something goes wrong and someone is in the right, err wrong, state of mind they'll snap. Doesn't make it ok, but they get over it, move on, and leaking it and turning it into a OMG I'll never watch a movie with that guy in it again event is BS.

I must say, I've not been very good at keeping up with all things entertainment lately.

I missed the new episode of Heroes. Oopsie!

This tv season I've been all about Smallville. Well except for last week. Verdict still out on that one. I liked it.... right up until Super Lana. Not so into that idea. I'm all for Lana being a strong woman, blah blah blah. But the whole I did it so I can be with you Clark. *yawn*. When it comes to the Smallville version of Clark, do not like Lana for him at all. There's a lot of Clark Kents. Every version is a little different. In the early years of Smallville, this Clark pining over Lana worked. Now them being all gaga for each other, not so good. Chloe worked. Lois works. Lana, no work.

Beyond that it's pretty much NBC Thursday for me. ER's final season, can't miss that. Always love Earl and The Office. 30rd Rock... eh it's ok or really good, depending on my mood.

Am out of cheesy romance vamp books for now. Don't want to order any more until I move this month so they don't get lost in the move.

I haven't managed to catch Milk in theaters as it's not playing at a convenient one. Next to probably miss is Coraline. I always seem to miss everything in theaters. Thanks goodness for DVD. If I miss Coraline, I'll pick up the book to check it out first, I'm really excited about checking that story out.

And hey, the former Governor Blago... I can't spell his full name, that show was pretty amusing too since I'm a news / politics junkie. Better than any fiction writer could every come up with.

I'm sure I'll catch up on the world of entertainment once we get moved.
